Michael_and_Bruce_062008This photo shows Mike and Bateleurs pilot Bruce McDonald in Bruce's Bantam, preparing for take-off on their flight to the Kruger Park. This was Mike's first-ever flight in a microlight and while Bruce waved us a cheerful goodbye, Mike's hands were clenched in a white-knuckled grip on the Bantam and far too busy to be able to wave, at all!

Bruce, our pilot in command in the Lowveld, was key to organising our retreat in the bush, the success of which is largely due to him.  Thank you, Bruce.
